I am just too excited to share the resurrection message. Easter is my favorite Holiday. The church scene right now is solemn, as Lent is a season of remembering Christ's sacrifice for us, but I am like a kid in a candy shop, because I know the rest of the story! I want to celebrate it and shout it from the rooftops, so Lent makes me antsy.
You see, although I was born to a church going family, I did not understand or comprehend the gift of eternal life or that only through Him could I be saved. I made so many mistakes, and committed some horrible sins. I felt alone and condemned because of my behavior. Praise the Lord, he didn't give up on me.
I still make mistakes, but now I try to live as God wants me. I love him first, and everything falls into place. When I screw up, I run to Him with my confession and He forgives me. I am a new creation!!
Be forewarned, you will probably get Easter images for the remainder of the season as I cannot control my amazement and delight. Yes, I do mourn that Christ had to die for my sins, but the fact that He loves me just turns me into an amazed child.

Yes, thank God He died for our sins, but He is our RISEN LORD and He sits at the Fathers right hand ever making intercession for us....AND He's returning soon!!!
Yes, Easter is also one of my favorite holidays, because of the Ressurection!
As I said in my post, I have never observed Lent before, but feel the leading to do so in a Protestant way right now, as a way of drawing closer to Christ.
I look forward to your future Easter messages.
Thank you for sharing!
