Last Day of May

I've survived another Memorial Day weekend rummage sale. For the past several springs we have done this sale, equivalent to a flea market almost. We set out tons of vintage iron for gardeners, lots of estate odds and ends, and a few fine antiques. Much of our stuff is priced 50 cents or $1. As with past years, we were happy to bring in about $3000. We experienced an exhausting but lucrative few days.

Today, I walked on our farm. It was an enjoyable jaunt with many finds that I will be sharing in the next few weeks. The most exciting is that the lady's slippers are blooming. I adore these beautiful wild orchids and look forward to there showy splash in our pine woods every year.
